Tea in Poland



The tea market in Poland is estimated between 1.4 and 1.5 billion zlotys. According to Nielsen, between February 2010 and January 2011, the Poles consumed approximately 23.6 million pounds of tea. Over this period the market was down 4.2% in volume and 0.2% in value compared to the previous year.

The market is starting to get saturated. According to some studies, 96% of Poles declare drinking tea. They drink on average 450 cups per year.

Makes it difficult to find new customers and increase individual consumption will necessarily through innovation and diversification of supply.

The undisputed leader in this segment is Dilmah. Despite it's small, it is growing very dynamically.
